永遠の循環が冷戦退役軍人の精神を伝え続ける
歴史は地表の下にある。 地表は、現在の平和を勝ち取った人々の努力を隠している。 この地表の層を持ち上げて、過去を露出させ開いたままにする鏡張りのボウルを創る。 このボウルの下には、過去の空間、ボウルの内側には未来に向かう現在の空間が創出される。 鏡張りのボウルは、水と鏡の組合せにより、時の流れや環境の変化を捉え、その下の歴史の層を私たちに映し出すと共に、過去の空間と現在の空間を循環する動線のシンボルとして、ウィスコンシンの人々、軍隊のメンバー、諜報機関、外交団、技術経済への市民の貢献者の過去の貢献との関係を思い出させるメモリアルとなる。
Eternal Circulation Continues to Transmit the Spirit of Cold War Veterans
History lies beneath the surface. The surface of the earth hides the efforts of those who have won the peace of the present. Lifting this layer of the earth's surface creates a mirrored bowl that leaves the past exposed and open. Beneath this bowl, the space of the past is created, and inside the bowl, the space of the present toward the future. The mirrored bowl, through the combination of water and mirrors, captures the flow of time and environmental change, reflecting back to us the layers of history beneath it, and as a symbol of the line of circulation between past and present spaces, it becomes a memorial that reminds us of our relationship to the past contributions of the people of Wisconsin, members of the military, intelligence services, diplomatic corps, and citizen contributors to our technological economy. It will be a memorial that reminds us of our relationship to the past.
