現代のコミュニティは仮想空間に徐々に移り変わりつつある。一方で、集合住宅のコミュニティは減少傾向にあるが、それは本来、防犯や防災などの安全面や人間関係による生活の豊かさを形作るものである。「PHIGITAL DOME」では、物理世界とデジタル世界を融合させることで、リアルとバーチャルが関係なく人々が集まることができ、集合住宅の新たなコミュニティのあり方を提案する。「PHYGITAL DOME」は、バーチャルとリアルが融合するフィジタルスペースのドームを持つ。ドームにフィジタルスペースを構造的・機能的に支えるための厚みを与えることで、住居はドームに沿うように分散し、住居は従来の箱型の集合住宅の形態を解体する。フィジタルスペースはリアルからのアクセスとバーチャルからのアクセスが開かれたパブリックなコミュニティの場となり、雑談の場やカフェ、フィジタルイベントスペース、フィジタルマーケットと変化していくことで、町のコミュニティとバーチャルコミュニティを接続することで、「PHYGITAL DOME」はリアルとバーチャルが混ざり合った大きなコミュニティ空間となる。
Contemporary communities are gradually transitioning to virtual spaces. On the other hand, the community in collective housing is declining, despite its potential to shape safety and human relationships, such as crime prevention and disaster relief. "PHYGITAL DOME" proposes a new form of community in collective housing by integrating the physical and digital worlds, allowing people to gather regardless of the real or virtual world. "PHYGITAL DOME" has a dome that houses a digital space where the virtual and real worlds merge. By giving thickness to the dome that structurally and functionally supports the digital space, housing is dispersed along the dome, dismantling the conventional box-type collective housing form. The digital space becomes a public community that is accessible from both real and virtual worlds, evolving into a chat room, cafe, digital event space, and digital market to connect the community of the town and virtual community. "PHYGITAL DOME" becomes a large community space where the real and virtual worlds blend together.
従来の集合住宅では内的な場所であったボリュームの内側がパブリックに反転することで、住民とリアル・バーチャルの来訪者とのコミュニケーションを促す。
By inverting the inside of the volume, which was traditionally an internal space in collective housing, to become public, communication is encouraged between residents and visitors from the real and virtual worlds.
